It is our conviction that God wants every one of His children to belong to a particular local church and submit to the leadership, commit to the people and the program for their spiritual growth and service. Therefore, anyone attending Grace is welcome to participate in all our activities.
However, anyone wanting to make a commitment to membership is required to:
- Surrender his or her life to Christ: This is the beginning of our spiritual journey. 2Cor.8: 5 “They first gave themselves to the Lord…” &
- Identify yourself with the church by enrolling as a member. We encourage that all our members attend Church Orientation Course (Acts 2: 41-42, 47, Gal.2: 9-10)
Responsibilities of our Members
Those who commit to membership are encouraged to support our purpose of reaching the lost for Christ and worshipping Him in spirit and in truth. The Bible outlines some responsibilities that are required of Christians and these responsibilities are required by our members. The following are some of the requirements:
- Member are required to take church meetings very seriously. Heb.10: 25.
- Members must strive to live above reproach. Matt.5: 13-16
- Members should endeavor to live in harmony with each other. Rom.12: 18
- Submit to and obey the leaders – Heb.13: 17
- Love and live at peace with each other – Heb.12: 14
- Members are required to Support the church:
- With your Treasure – Mal.3: 8-12
- With your Talents – 1Pet. 4: 10-11
- With your Time – Eph.5: 15-17
